Collard Greens PineappleSmoothie

Collard Greens Pineapple smoothie is one of our all time favorite, I know– you don’t have to say it— yes every green smoothie is a favorite at our house, but honestly there are so many  ways to enjoy delicious  vibrant live food that are oh so healthy for you. We love green drinks at our home, if you have a ‘veggie picky eater’ at your home try a smoothie-seriously.

Pineapple contains a protein digesting enzyme call bromelain which encourages the excretion of hydrochloric acid. If you and the kiddos love pineapple, add some  collard green leaves  to it-  Collard green is  chockfull of amazing nutrients including calcium, iron, magnesium, vitamin C etc


Ingredients organic

  1. 2 cups loosely-packed collard leaves chopped (stems removed)
  2. 1 cup frozen/fresh mango chunks
  3. 1 cup pineapple juice (fresh is best)
  4. 1 Tbsp. ground flax/hemp seed
  5. 1 cup ice.
  6. 1 tsp fresh squeezed lime/lemon juice


Blend all together until smooth and creamy. Add more pineapple juice for that picky eater, it makes it light and extremely delicious. The lemon or lime is essential for the sweet tangy balance.
